‘Rescuing Christmas’ Is Premiering On Hallmark Channel’s Christmas in July
Hallmark’s Christmas In July continues with Rescuing Christmas. This movie stars Rachael Leigh Cook and Sam Page. “After accidentally erasing Christmas from history, a freelance photographer does everything possible to bring it back.”
This movie was a huge hit on Hallmark Movies Now during the 2023 Christmas season. Now, it is finally airing on the OG. What is this movie all about?
What Is Hallmark’s Rescuing Christmas About?
“The spirit of Christmas in re-ignited” in Hallmark’s Rescuing Christmas. According to the synopsis, Erin Smithson is lacking the Christmas spirit. Although it has been a year since she broke up with her boyfriend, she still feels the doldrums. But, she does not know that Santa has something special this year for one lucky person who needs cheer. They will get three magical Christmas wishes.
It doesn’t take Santa’s elves much convincing. They know Erin needs to let in the magic of the season. The elves, Chuck and Debbie have decided that she is the winner of the Operation Wish program. However, when they send her emails to tell her the good news, she thinks they are junk and sends them to spam.
Although she has spammed the information on this contest, Erin unknowingly starts to make her wishes. Her first two wishes are self-indulgent. She soon learns that she wanted something that she should have moved on from last year. Her third wish is “that Christmas never existed.” Now, she is the only one who remembers Christmas. But Sam, a guy she had a disastrous blind date with, is someone who she can rope into helping her rescue Christmas.
Soon, she finds creative ways to celebrate Christmas with non-Christmas items. But, the two manage to recreate some of the traditions that Erin always loved.
With just days to go until Christmas Eve, can a little elf magic, combined with Sam’s belief in her, be enough for Erin to revive the forgotten holiday, and possibly receive the greatest gift of all – love?
