UFC fans were shocked when Conor McGregor pulled out of his long-awaited comeback. News broke that the main event was being reassigned due to McGregor being unable to fight. They credited him for backing out due to an injury. However, they did not and still have not said what exactly he injured. Now, Rafael dos Anjos has some words for Conor and really sticks it to him. Rafael dos Anjos Gets Revenge On Conor McGregor

UFC fans were all disappointed when it was announced Conor McGregor will not be making his epic comeback this month after all. Suspicions were growing that something could be wrong when the press conference was canceled earlier this month.

However, it wasn’t until this past week that Conor made the decision with the advice of the UFC and his physicians to pull out of the fight. McGregor went to Instagram to share an update after the announcement. He only said the injury needs more time to heal He vowed to be back and ready to fight as soon as possible. Conor also never shared exactly what or how he was injured.

There have been lots of people speaking out since the announcement and one of those is Rafael dos Anjos. In 2016, Conor was supposed to fight him at UFC 296. However, due to injury, Rafael was forced to back out.

At the time, Conor McGregor said, “Did you see it? It’s a bruise. Ice, ibuprofen. If I jumped under an x-ray, the doctor would slap me and say what are you doing kid? Get out of here. Stop this! If you show up, you fight, you’re in, congratulations. You did it.”

Now, after all these years, Rafael is getting his revenge. After hearing about the fight cancelation, he went to social media to mock Conor just as he’d done to him years before.

Rafael reposted Conor’s post about backing out of the fight and said, “It’s just a bruise. Take some ibuprofen.” Many fans replied laughing and telling him he’s waited a long time for that moment.

Michael Chandler Responds To Fight Being Cancelled

Conor McGregor was supposed to fight Michael Chandler on June 29. After McGregor gave his official statement, Chandler replied saying, “No hard feelings. Heal up. My heart is full. See you soon.”

Many think that McGregor will never make it back to the octagon. Some feel he’s just postponing the inevitable and that is official retirement.
