Fans Call Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird Fake, Milking Show For Fame
Many fans praised Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird for taking in her younger sister, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson when she needed a family. Mama June was deep in her addiction and was in no shape to care for her youngest child. Yet, Pumpkin was newly married, still a kid herself with a new baby. Still, she rose to the occasion with her husband, Josh Efird and they ultimately became Alana’s legal guardians. Eventually, it did come out that when Pumpkin was pregnant with her twins Alana was not actually living with her.
Rather, she was staying with her older boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, and her sister, Jessica Shannon while she finished high school. So, everything that fans saw on television was not actually true. Now, a Reddit thread has been started since the new season of Family Crisis began on Friday, June 14th. It is all about Pumpkin and they feel she puts on a facade for the cameras, overdoing it to the max. The OP pointed out the time Pumpkin kicked Josh out and made him sleep outside. Then, they added in FaceTime calls that appear longer than they actually are.

- During that call she kept making all those faces she does on camera and idk it just seems like no one seems as fake as her.

Time To Pack It In
Some felt that it was time for Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird and her whole family to pack it up and be done. There were also a plethora of comments about how they act one way on television and then are “grifters” on social media. Others added that Pumpkin has no problem begging and then showing off all of her pricey tattoos. They felt that money could be put toward her family or something more beneficial but this is just how they are. This current season is a mix of emotions. Mama June won’t give Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson her $30K back but Anna Cardwell is dying. So, it will be a rollercoaster all around.
