Instagram User Says Ginger Zee Needs Plastic Surgery
The Good Morning America correspondent took to X this week to share a screenshot of comments left by a hater on a recent Instagram post. Instagram user @littlebuddy50 left some rather hurtful comments on one of Ginger Zee’s photos this week.
They wrote, “Someone needs plastic surgery.” To which Ginger replied, “Why?” Their response is what shocked Ginger’s fans.
“Age is definitely catching up to you,” the Instagram user wrote. “You look like a female Joe Biden, like an avocado that’s been in the sun too long.” Rather than giving the social media troll the answer he was hoping for, Ginger Zee was tactful in her response.
“But I love avocados,” she wrote in the post on X with several laughing emojis. Ginger continued, “Why is age such a negative thing? I thought we were changing that narrative? Perhaps little buddy didn’t get the note?”
After sharing the screenshots of the exchange on X, the meteorologist‘s fans praised her for handling the situation the way she did.
Ginger’s Fans Applaud Her Responses To Hate
“Oh Ginger I am always impressed when you respond with positive clap backs to these unhappy folks,” one person wrote. “And o just love to watch them get buried by your fans. We got you, thank you for your inspiration and science!” Ginger made sure to reply to the person’s comment expressing her appreciation for them.
Several other fans weighed in on the rude comments as well. One person pointed out that signs of aging are just “proof of living.” They continued, “It’s a good thing. Especially (as you know) for those of us who’ve struggled with depression.” Ginger Zee responded and said that’s exactly how she feels about it.

@littlebuddy50 wound up deleting his comment and apologizing to Ginger on Instagram.
While Ginger isn’t a stranger to receiving hate online, she often gets positive messages too. One person posted an appreciation post for the Good Morning America meteorologist.
“Appreciation posts are meant to brighten someone’s day & remind them of their value! Ginger you are simply a wonderful person! Sometimes we all need that reminder & today is yours!” @JWilliamsMSUFan wrote. Ginger Zee reshared the post shortly after the screenshots of the exchange mentioned above writing, “Look how wonderful positivity is to share.”
