White Collar Spinoff Is Happening!

There has been a lot of talk about a White Collar reboot. Now, fans don’t have to hope and dream. It is happening! According to Variety, the series creator Jeff Eastin revealed on Thursday it is happening. He hat attended the publication’s TV Fest event in a panel alongside three of the series stars, Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, and Tiffany Theissen.

Eastin announced, “We’re gonna reboot. I’m writing the script.” To this, Matt Boomer shared, “I’m in!” In solidarity, DeKay and Thiessen, who portray husband and wife Peter and Elizabeth Burke, also raised their hands. The trio are all behind this new reboot.

DeKay confirmed, “It’s a fantastic script and it answers all the questions that one would have if you watch the show. And it would introduce the show to those who haven’t seen it as well. Both edges of the sword are honed.”

New Script ‘Honors’ Willie Garson’s Character Mozzie

Just a few years ago, White Collar fans lost Willie Garson, who played the incomparable Mozzie. Tim DeKay made it clear that Willie was not forgotten. When talking about the reboot script, he shared, “It honors Willie too, in a profound way. With such sensitivity and such heart.”

Tiffany Thiessen added, “I told Jeff after I finished it, I literally was so excited, but at the same time had tears in my eyes – for good reason. You captured the suspect, the thrill, the characters, and the love in that robot.”

Where Will White Collar Fans Find Reboot?

Although it is not yet official, it appears that the White Collar reboot will end up on Hulu. That is because Disney owns the IP. DeKay revealed that “the hope is that it will be a particular streamer.” This hinted at Hulu.

White Collar Finale Was Intentionally Open-Ended

White Collar creator Jeff Eastin purposely left the series finale “open.” He realized that with Neal Caffrey walking down a Paris street, this left the possibility of revisiting this set of characters in the future. However, he admits that he lost some hope as the years went on. But, the success of Suits really helped White Collar. “They were doing great, and got people watching White Collar now on Netflix. Now, they are ready to do more.

White Collar fans, are you ready for a reboot?
