She went from 125 to 250 pounds at the age of 52, which is a huge problem. The Botched Bariatrics star underwent gastric bypass surgery and was able to maintain a healthy weight. However, she decided that she wanted to remove her excess skin. Her 5-hour belly tuck surgery ended horribly, resulting in her tummy having “butt cracks.”

Dr. Caplin Performs Surgeries To Crystal

During Crystal’s episode, she met Dr. Caplin, who promised to take care of her “butt crack” problems. Dr. Caplin assumed that the surgeons only took parts of Crystal’s skin that needed to be removed, leaving those that could potentially cause harm. Dr. Caplin initially advised the Botched Bariatrics star to wear a compressive garment for over two weeks before they proceeded with her surgery.

Dr. Caplin had a difficult time navigating how to treat Crystal’s botched belly tuck. She went all the way around Crystal’s body to repair the belly tuck and the buttock lifts in the rear. The surgeon later said that she performed an incision in the midline to remove the superfluous skin, which is Cyrstal’s second “butt crack.” Dr. Caplin also removed as much tissue as possible to ensure the safety of the blood flow.
