Chip & Joanna Gaines Offer First Look At Next ‘Fixer Upper’
Chip and Joanna Gaines are coming back to HGTV with another special. This one is called Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse. The new series arrives in June and we have the new trailer for the series and information about what fans can expect.

Chip & Joanna Gaines Back With Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse
Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse is the latest in the line of HGTV specials from Chip and Joanna Gaines. It follows “The Castle” and “The Hotel.” This special celebrated the 10th anniversary of Fixer Upper and has them taking on a very unique challenge.
Chip and Joanna Gaines will work to overhaul an outdated 1960s lakefront home. “I think with this lakehouse, there’s something about it that just feels significant that this project landed on our 10-year Fixer Upper anniversary,” Joanna said in the trailer for the new special. Chip then said it “feels like it was really meant to be.”
Joanna seems very excited about the new renovation journey, saying that she feels this is a “showstopper” moment. She said she loved the house from the first time she saw it. Chip jokes that Joanna has major design ideas, but, as usual, they change when the work finally begins. Joanna said that Chip has his “work cut out” for him.
The house has a beautiful lakefront view and a swimming pool as well. Chip calls the view a “million-dollar view” and the two are shown working hard on the renovations.
Everything To Know About Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse
Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse premieres on HGTV on June 2 at 8/7c. It is a six-episode series that will air on both Magnolia Network and HGTV, and then stream the same day on both Max and Discovery+.
The synopsis reads: “Follow the full transformation of the property throughout the season as Chip and Joanna go above and beyond with surprising interior designs and unique outdoor installations never before seen on Fixer Upper” (via PEOPLE)
The original series ran for five seasons and 79 episodes. It premiered in 2013 and finished in 2018. However, after the end, Chip and Joanna Gaines kept things moving with the specials. Welcome Home premiered in 2021 as part of the soft launch of Discovery+.
The Castle was the next special, which premiered in 2022. They renovated a century-old castle in Waco, Texas. After that, Chip and Joanna were back with The Hotel in 2023. This was Hotel 1928, also in Waco. The Lakehouse is also in Waco, as the Gaines keep close to home for all their specials.
