Shocked ‘7 Little Johnstons’ Liz Johnston Has Fans In Uproar
7 Little Johnstons’ fans were taken aback with shock and they seemed perplexed by something that Elizabeth “Liz” Johnston said about her baby. The current season reveals that she hadn’t yet welcomed Leighton Drew Bolden, who arrived in November last year. Read on to find out what made TLC fans feel so confused.
Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Johnston Has A Cute Baby
TLC fans see that Brice Bolden and Liz welcomed a very cute baby girl. Lots of photos arrived from the entire family. While Trent seemed upset with his daughter on the show, on social media, he looks thrilled. These days, he and his wife, Amber refer to themselves by sweet nickname for grandparents.
Liz Johnston and Brice seemed terrified to tell her parents about her pregnancy. On TLC, fans saw them admit that it wasn’t something they wanted to do. And, that explains why she hid her pregnancy for so long. Well, that’s behind them now, and recently, Liz said something about her baby in a confessional that shocked a lot of viewers.

7 Little Johnstons Shocked By LIz & Brice
In the latest episode on TLC, Liz and Brice talked about Leighton Drew, and in their confessional, he echoed her feelings about the child. With the dreaded explanation about falling pregnant out of the way, they seemed a bit more enthusiastic about their baby. Notably, despite splitting from his girlfriend for a bit, Brice Bolden seemed determined to be a good dad.
On Reddit, a 7 Little Johnstons’ viewer expressed their shock about something that Liz Johnston said. In their long caption, the OP wrote, in part:
Why wish the baby was little?…So, in the episode where everyone found out good old Lizzie girl was pregnant…during their talking heads a few people said they were hoping the baby was little. Now, [I] have no problem with little people…HOWEVER…why on earth would you sit there on that red couch, knowing how many health problems can come with having a little person, would you literally say “I hope the baby is little?”
The critic of Liz Johnston mentioned a long list of surgeries that the little people in the family experienced, including Alex Johnston’s brain surgery. So, they felt shocked that Liz and Brice would wish for their baby to face “the HEALTH problems that usually come with achondroplasia!”
TLC Fans React
In the discussion, it became clear that nobody had a downer on little people. But, a lot of them agreed that it seemed strange for Liz Johnston to wish ill health on an unborn child. Here are some of their opinions:
- I was shocked when she and Brice both said that. Why would they choose such a difficult, painful path for their child? I think they were saying it to make Amber happy. They couldn’t have meant it.
- It seemed like totally something Amber would say/want them to say.
- She wants us to believe that she wished it was little. I think she is lying. Little people have many physical health problems and all need surgery before they’re even 10 yrs old! Amy Roloff had no problems raising 3 average size children plus a little one.
- Why want a harder life for your kid[?] It just makes things more complicated for them. Even the simple things in life. What also bothered me was when she said Amber wants it to be an LP and thinks LP babies are cuter. Amber has such an ego about being an LP and it’s weird!
What are your thoughts about Brice Bolden and Liz Johnston claiming that they hoped the baby would be a little person? Do you agree it’s shocking that they would wish a condition on the child that can cause a lot of physical complications? What they expressed was perfect. That baby will grow up knowing she was wanted and loved rather little or average size. Had they stated they didn’t want a “little person”, and that was what she was, her whole life she would believe her parents didn’t want her because of her physical attributes, and psychologically that would be devastating.
