‘7 Little Johnstons’ Is Liz Johnston Amber 2.0?
7 Little Johnstons star, Elizabeth “Liz” Johnston is in her 20s now, and some TLC fans think she’s trying to be Amber 2.0. Additionally, they complain because her dad treats her as if she’s about 15 years old.
Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Johnston Was Her Mother’s Favorite?
Most 7 Little Johnstons‘ fans agree that Amber Johnston has favorites. On social media, the fact that Anna Johnston seems to be her least favorite has been around for years. So has the perception that Alex Johnston ranks high on her list of good kids. Then, Liz seemed a favorite because she was different from Anna, and she’s Amber’s biological child.
Liz Johnston seems like a nice person, and TLC fans always said they had a lot of time for her. However, as she grows older, her behavioral traits seem to mirror those of her mom. Notably, though, she doesn’t seem as grumpy as some fans think Amber Johnston might be. Still, some folks question if she tries to be like her mom.

Liz Is Amber Johnston 2.0?
On Reddit this week, a 7 Little Johnstons fan wrote a very long opinion post about Liz and her mother. Partly, they mentioned the car for Liz and Trent’s reaction. However, the main focus was on how similar his biological daughter is to Amber Johnston regarding her gestures.
In part, the OP said:
The way Liz gesticulates 👋🏼& way she speaks- EXACT Replica of Amber…Anyone ever notice Liz uses dramatic gestures and that her tone (not as exact or noticable) is EXACTLY like Amber? Amber is always dramatically waving here hands front to back next to her face as she talks…if you pay attention to the 2 of them at the table on last night’s episode, it’s as if Liz is a clone of Amber. She just wants to be Amber #2 (I’m not saying 2.0 because she’s not improved!)
TLC fans in the discussion didn’t think that Liz Johnston tries hard to be just like her mom. Here are some of those opinions:
- I don’t think Liz wants to be Amber 2.0, I think she is afraid of not being what Amber wants her to be. This episode is the first I have seen where Liz really seems afraid of Amber. There was a lot of tension at that table and Liz was being treated like she was [a] 15-year-old who told her parents she was pregnant. I get being disappointed but it was as though Liz was about to go to prison.
- Amber’s attitude is exactly why Liz didn’t share the [baby] news earlier. Amber acts so disgusted about everything, hell I wouldn’t have told her until after the baby was born.
