Bachelor Nation fans have been waiting for any information about the first season of The Golden Bachelorette. ABC dropped a bombshell with a few new details about the upcoming spinoff. What do we know so far?

Fate Of Bachelor In Paradise Revealed?

Summer hasn’t even officially started yet, but ABC is already looking toward the fall. They released the schedule for the TV season that starts in September. The network announced its summer schedule last month. Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette will air on Mondays, beginning with the season premiere on July 8, 2024.

The beach-inspired spinoff Bachelor In Paradise wasn’t included in the summer schedule. Season 9 aired in the fall of 2023 and was a major disappointment on several levels, including low ratings. The season finale saw two engagements and one happy couple leaving the beach in a relationship. However, all three couples announced their breakup within days of the November finale.

Rumors have circulated for months that the spinoff has been shelved for 2024 or possibly canceled completely. ABC has yet to confirm the status of Bachelor In Paradise, but it was glaringly absent from the 2024 fall schedule. It has likely been pushed back until 2025.

What else did the fall schedule reveal about the Bachelor franchise? The flagship show has been renewed for Season 29, but put on the mid-season schedule, which means a January 2025 premiere.

Monday Night Football again pushed Bachelor Nation shows and Dancing With The Stars to other days of the week. Season 33 of DWTS will air on Tuesday nights. Fans are hoping to see Bachelor Joey Graziadei put on his dancing shoes.

According to The Wrap, the Golden Bachelorette will air on Wednesdays this fall. Wednesday is usually reserved for the alphabet network’s comedy lineup, but most of ABC’s comedies have been canceled or pushed back to 2025.

The network will offer super-sized 90-minute episodes of The Golden Bachelorette starting at 8 PM Eastern. Fan-favorite comedy Abbott Elementary follows. The new true crime docuseries Scamanda, based on the popular podcast, closes out the Wednesday night lineup.

One thing ABC still hasn’t revealed is exactly who will be The Golden Bachelorette. They may not announce it until the end of Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette this summer.

What do you think of Golden Bachelorette getting 90-minute episodes compared to the Golden Bachelor‘s one-hour episodes? Share your thoughts on the bombshell announcement in the comments.
