Blake Shelton Lands Role In Mark Wahlberg Film, With A Catch
Blake Shelton is a man of many talents. Whether it’s performing in front of a live audience, making a killing as an entrepreneur, or some other venture, there’s nothing that Blake can’t do. Recently, he landed a role in a new Mark Wahlberg film, but, there’s a catch. So, what is it?
Blake Shelton Is An Industry Powerhouse
Blake Shelton may have started out entertaining crowds as a country music star, but, since his career took off, he has branched out into many other things. He found a whole new fan base when he took on the role of a judge on The Voice, which he did for 23 seasons.
When he is not performing, he is expanding his bar franchise, which recently opened up its biggest location yet on the Las Vegas strip. In addition, Shelton also has numerous brand partnerships and other things outside of music. If all of that were not enough, he is also married to Gwen Stefani, and is even a stepfather to her three children.
Shelton Lands Acting Role With Mark Wahlberg?
With everything that Blake Shelton juggles as a successful entertainer and businessman, the idea of him getting more into film isn’t that big of a stretch. It turns out, Shelton landed an upcoming role in a Mark Wahlberg movie, but, there’s a catch.
Blake Shelton recently bid on the opportunity to have a walk-on role in a future Mark Wahlberg film. The only catch is, Shelton had to bid in order to secure the role. So, even though he did win, he had to shell out a considerable amount of cash to do so, $40k, to be exact.
As of this writing, it’s not clear what movie Shelton will eventually appear in, nor what his role will ultimately be, however, at some point in the future, Blake will appear in a Mark Wahlberg film, thanks to his generous bid.
Austin Singer Spent Cash For A Good Cause
Along with the many cowboy hats Blake Shelton wears, he is also quite the philanthropist. His shelling out $40k to appear in a Mark Wahlberg film was part of a larger event. Blake was a guest of honor at the 27th annual Power of Love Gala, for his philanthropic efforts, according to PEOPLE.
The gala was hosted by Keep Memory Alive, an organization dedicated to “brain disorder research and support.” So, even if the opportunity to appear in a future Mark Wahlberg movie cost Blake Shelton more than a lot of people make in a year, that $40k is going toward a worthy cause.

While there, Blake Shelton even took the stage. Even his wife, Gwen Stefani, was on hand, as the pair performed their duet, Nobody But You.
