‘OutDaughtered’ Danielle Busby Struggles With Quints’ Education

The new season of OutDaughtered premiered on Tuesday, and Danielle Busby confessed that she struggled with the girls and their education. In fact, she feels that this is the hardest time she’s had with raising five quints all at the same time. Read on to find out why that made her feel emotional.

Danielle Busby Always Let The Kids Be Individuals

Over the years, TLC fans learned that Adam Busby and his wife never forced the kids to do everything together. Instead, they revealed that some of the girls preferred soccer to ballet. With a pair of twins and three other kids born on the same day, they felt determined to let them each be their own person. But now they are getting older, the learning differences between Riley, Ava, Olivia, Parker, and Hazel become more obvious.

Danielle Busby got a lot of help from Adam and her family when the kids were younger. Potty training, hygiene, and other basic skills needed a lot of supervision. However, now that they are older, they don’t need a whole tribe to help with kids. But, it seems it would be useful if their mom and dad could clone themselves when it comes to helping with their education.

OutDaughtered Quints Struggle With School?

In the premiere of the new season, OutDaughtered fans saw that Adam and his wife gathered all the girls together for some reading. Unfortunately, they discovered that the twin, Ava has problems with reading. Each of the quints took a turn of reading a page. Also, their mom explained that she couldn’t spend an hour with each child. Obviously, that would take up most of their day.

Danielle Busby admits that communal learning is not ideal. However, with five kids, it’s almost impossible to dedicate enough time to each child. As they read, it became obvious that some of them were quicker than others. With that on her mind, the OutDaughtered mom stopped for a word with their third-grade teacher. She was assured that new learning modules would help the kids.

TLC Star Feels Emotional About Ava

In TLC’s teaser, Danielle spoke in her confessional, and the emotional mom opened up about Ava. She said:

Some of the quints just kind of still struggle a little bit, going from…kindergarten to this huge school was really hard. So we’re still trying to figure that out. But, you know, Ava, I think, wants it to just be like her and mom because she just gets frustrated with sisters around. I’m kind of getting emotional.

As children grow up, they seem more challenging. Riley, Ava, Olivia, Parker, and Hazel seem to become much more distinct in their abilities and personalities.
