Kelly Jo Bates Thanks Carlin For Saving Her After Big Loss
Bringing Up Bates star Kelly Jo Bates has been busy over the past few weeks. Aside from mission trips with her family, the 57-year-old celebrated the pregnancies of some of her in-laws and daughters. However, the mother of 19 recently revealed that she’s been going through so much pain. But she’s thankful that her daughter, Carlin Bates Stewart, helped heal her wounded heart. Bringing Up Bates: What Is Kelly Jo Bates Up To Today?
Kelly Jo has been spending so much time with her grandkids over the past few weeks. Recently, the Bringing Up Bates star visited Lydia and Trace’s son, Ryker.
The married couple even shared an adorable clip of Ryker having a chat with his grandmother. Gil’s wife even went with Carlin for her birthday getaway. However, many were caught off-guard, as Kelly Jo’s participation in the quick vacation has a bigger meaning.
Kelly Jo Thanks Carlin For Saving Her After Big Loss
In an Instagram post, Kelly Jo shared a clip from her recent trip to North Carolina with Carlin and Evan. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, it was a special day as she got to celebrate the birthday of her daughter. She also added that the Outer Banks has been on her bucket list for quite some time, but there’s a heartbreaking story behind it.

Kelly Jo Bates explained that her father passed away 21 years ago, and she’s been in so much pain every day. “And I was emotionally turned upside down, so we planned a beach trip to the Outer Banks,” she added. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to embrace the Outer Banks to the fullest due to a hurricane warning. But she thanked Carlin for bringing her along, which helped her get through the emotional pain. Kelly Jo ended her post with, “This Outer Banks trip was just what I needed- a perfect mixture of fun, adventure, peacefulness, rest, and happy memories from the past & present! It was absolutely gorgeous! Thank you a million times over for including me!”
Bringing Up Bates: Carlin Bates Shares Fun Fact About Birthday Getaway
Aside from a quick vacation, Carlin also explained that they visited the lighthouse where Evan proposed. “Fun fact about us : nearly 6 years ago @evanpstewart16 got down on one knee and proposed in front of a lighthouse!” the Bringing Up Bates star said, adding that they can’t stop visiting different lighthouses because of the memories they give.
Evan and Carlin Bates Stewart tied the knot on May 25, 2019. The two have welcomed two children, Layla and Zade. She has also expressed her interest in having more kids with Evan. The ninth Bates child even said that her doctors weren’t worried about her getting pregnant again after suffering from seizure-like symptoms since giving birth to Zade.
