The Kardashians ‘Snubbed’ From Met Gala After Years On A-List?

Though the ensembles have not always been the best, the KarJenner family has been ones to watch when it comes to the Met Gala. For Kim Kardashian, she went to great lengths for the 2022 Met. She donned Marilyn Monroe’s iconic gold dress and showed how hard she had to work out in order to fit into it. Though she maintained she was a “shapeshifter,” this dress was tailor-made for Monroe. Therefore, nothing could be done for Kim when the dress did not seamlessly slide right up.

So, Kim dropped around 16 pounds to get into the dress and it still was not perfect. In the end, she was told that she ripped some of the seams and left the dress in poor condition. Regardless, the Kardashians and Jenners were still welcomed back.

In 2023, Kim did not have the nicest things to say about her younger sisters’ dresses. She then told her daughter, North West who relayed the messages to Kylie and Kendall Jenner. Fans did not appreciate North’s attitude and felt she needed to be reprimanded. Now, the 2024 Met Gala is coming up on May 6th, 2024. However, only one member of the family has been invited, per The Sun. So far, only Kendall Jenner has been invited to the lavish event where celebrities and influencers dress to the nines.

Page Six had the guest list of those invited as of now and it reads as this: Rihanna, Gisele Bündchen, Kendall Jenner, and Lily Gladstone, as well as co-chairs Zendaya, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, and Jennifer Lopez, alongside Anna Wintour, who serves as Vogue’s editor-in-chief. As of now, the Kardashians are awaiting invites for the rest of the family but Kendall has already attended nine times. She is one time behind her sister, Kim.

The Theme

Themes for the Met Gala change every year and with that comes the most eclectic fashion. One year, Kylie Jenner attended in a messy, casual wedding dress with a baseball cap veil. This year, the theme will be Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion as well as an exhibit as the The Met. As for how the guests are expected to dress, they are tasked with this: The Garden of Time. Seats go for $50K so if the rest of the Kardashians are invited as well as Kris and Kylie Jenner, it will be interesting to see the ensembles they select.
