Andrea Cameron Passed Away In 2020
When you read the year 2020, you might automatically assume Tyler Cameron’s mother passed away from COVID. However, her unexpected passing happened right before the lockdown that would shut down the country. Initial reports suggested that Andrea Cameron had a heart attack. However, her son has since revealed more details, including their final text message exchange.
The true cause of death was later revealed to be a brain aneurysm. Andrea Cameron was just 55 when she passed away. She left behind her husband, Jeff, and three children: sons Tyler, Austin, and Ryan.
Her grief-stricken family went on to honor her by creating the Andrea C. Cameron Foundation, which provides college scholarships to high school students.
Tyler Cameron Shares What Helped Him Heal After Mother’s Death
Tyler Cameron has let TV viewers into his life for years. He first gained attention as a contestant on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. He’s remained a huge fan favorite despite never looking for love in the franchise again.
He’s gone on to compete on other reality shows, including Fox’s Dirty Dancing competition The Real Dirty Dancing. Tyler came in second place and dedicated his dance performance to his mother.
He also competed on and won Season 2 of Fox’s Special Forces, where he became close friends with fellow contestant JoJo Siwa.
Tyler Cameron is soon to be back on TV screens in a way that fans never expected. The former model is now a construction contractor specializing in home renovation. One of his first projects was to renovate his childhood home in his mother’s honor. And cameras were there to capture every moment.
Going Home with Tyler Cameron is an upcoming reality show on Amazon Prime. But instead of holding roses, Tyler Cameron will be holding a sledgehammer.
He told PEOPLE magazine that he had always planned to renovate his mother’s home as a surprise for her. Unfortunately, she passed away before he got the chance. “It definitely broke my heart that we made this beautiful house and couldn’t hand her the keys,” he candidly confessed.
However, he did find some healing in the hard work. “It was both cathartic and it kind of gave me closure,” Tyler said about the renovations.
How did the construction work compare to his previous reality TV experiences? “Doing a home renovation show is ten times the feat of going on Bachelorette or even Special Forces,” Tyler said. He added, “I honestly love it and it’s given me direction.”
The show will feature other projects aside from renovating his home. Several of his Bachelor Nation friends make cameos, including Hannah Brown, Matt James, and Jason Tartick.
Going Home with Tyler Cameron will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, April 18.
