How Are Kardashians Connected To The Late O.J. Simpson?
O.J. Simpson passed away last night after losing his battle with prostate cancer. In the wake of his death, many are revisiting his life, career, and connections. And of course, that includes his link to the famous Kardashian family.
Long-time Kardashian fans are generally aware of the connection to O.J. Simpson. While their relationships soured after Nicole Brown Simpson’s murder, O.J. Simpson was once a regular presence in the Kardashian home.

The Kardashian Family Was Once Very Close With O.J. Simpson
As per PEOPLE, O.J. Simpson met Robert Kardashian, Sr. long before the former was on trial for murder. The men became fast friends in college. After they married, their wives, Nicole Brown Simpson and Kris Jenner, also became best friends. While growing up, the Kardashian children referred to the Simpsons as their aunt and uncle.
Kris and Robert Kardashian divorced in 1991 while the Simpsons split a year later. Nicole Brown Simpson was brutally murdered along with her friend Ron Goldman in 1994. Naturally, O.J. Simpson was the prime suspect. Of course, he called on his best friend Robert Kardashian to defend him. He assembled an all-star team of lawyers, who ultimately helped him be acquitted of the murder charges.
Kris was heartbroken by Nicole’s loss and wanted justice. At the time, she had already remarried. She and Caitlyn Jenner married in 1991 before splitting in 2015.
“Right before the trial started, Robert sat down and wrote us a handwritten letter and just said, ‘Look, I know you don’t agree with what is going down here, but this is what I have to do for my friend,'” Kris said in a 2009 interview with Dr. Phil. “He believed in what he was doing and he was asking us for his support.”
Kris went on to name her daughter Kendall Nicole Jenner in honor of Nicole Brown Simpson.
The Trial Was Incredibly Difficult For The Kardashian Children
As many Kardashian fans know, there have been ongoing rumors for years that O.J. Simpson is Khloe Kardashian‘s biological father. However, the family slammed the rumors. Kris went as far as to call the allegations “tasteless and disgusting.”
