‘Melrose Place’ Stars Getting Back Together For Big Reunion
Melrose Place was one of the most popular Primetime soaps from the 1990s. Now, several Melrose Place cast members are getting back together for a reunion, including the man who helped launch the show to success.
Here is who is reuniting, where it will be, and how you can see them later in 2024.
Cast Returning For Melrose Place Reunion
Melrose Place was a spinoff from Beverly Hills, 90210, and started when Grant Show’s Jake Hanson made an appearance on 90210 as a backdoor pilot, luring Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth) to Melrose Place to see him again – which is how the pilot took place.
Fans met the colorful characters who lived at Melrose Place, including Dr. Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro) and his wife Jane Mancini (Josie Bissett). Andrew Shue played writer Billy Campbell, Courtney Thorne-Smith played Alison Parker, and Doug Savant played gay social worker Matt Fielding. Also playing regulars on Melrose Place was major stars, Heather Locklear as Amanda Woodward, Marcia Cross as Dr. Kimblery Shaw, Jack Wagner as Peter Burns, Lisa Rinna as Taylor Estes, and Alyssa Milano as Jennifer Mancini.
From September 13 to September 15, several members of the Melrose Place cast will reunite for a special event. Laura Leighton, Josie Bissett, Grant Show, Daphne Zuniga, and Brooke Langton. Bissett and Show were original cast members of the show.
Leighton became a main cast member in season 3 as Sydney Andrews. Zuniga joined the cast late in the first season as Jo Reynolds. Langton joined in season 5 as Samantha Reilly. The show lasted for seven seasons and aired from 1992 to 1999.
What Is The Melrose Place Reunion About?
These five former Melrose Place cast members will reunite at 90s Con Florida. This marks the first-ever fan convention appearance for Laura Leighton and Brooke Langton. Leighton gained further television success when she played Ashley Marin on Pretty Little Liars. Langton had a recurring role on Friday Night Lights but has no film or TV credits since 2019. Zuniga, Bissett, and Leighton all worked in 2021 on the Fantasy Island reboot.
The cast last reunited for a virtual reunion in 2020 to raise money to help The Actors Fund. That reunion included Josie Bissett, Thomas Calabro, Marcia Cross, Laura Leighton, Heather Locklear, Doug Savant, Grant Show, Andrew Shue, Courtney Thorne-Smith, and Daphne Zuniga.
90s Con Florida, as its name indicates, is all about celebrating the pop culture from the 1990s. At the moment, there are no other announced guests outside of the Melrose Place stars. There is no schedule yet on the official website, and there is no word on the photo op prices. The event is for three days, from September 13-15, and tickets are $40 for Friday, $60 for Saturday, and $60 for Sunday. There are also Weekend Passes for $125 and kids Weekend Passes (4-10) for $30.
