Tyler Hynes Wants To Play A Rival To Andrew Walker In A Hallmark Movie
Recently, while speaking to US Magazine, Tyler Hynes agreed that “I mean, rivals is a great pitch. I think that’s a great idea.” He continued, “I hadn’t thought of being rivals, but that would be a blast.”
The two played brothers in Three Wise Men and A Baby, along with Paul Campbell. Andrew portrayed fit and friendly firefighter Luke, while Tyler played fired game designer Tayler, who was living in mom’s basement. They were complete opposites with a few brotherly issues. But, as romantic rivals this could add a fun new dimension to a romcom.
Hallmark has been trying a lot of new things since their upper management change about four years ago. Therefore, Tyler seemed to see the potential in playing one-half of romantic rivals striving for the affection of the lead actress. Also, there was some of this in his recent Christmas movie, Never Been Chris’d. Janel Parrish and Pascal Lamothe-Kipnes played best pals Naomi and Liz who both had a big crush on Tyler’s character Chris Silver. Both seemed like romantic rivals, but in the end, it was Naomi and Chris.
After surmising a bit, the Shifting Gears star suggested, “We’d have to really pull the gloves off.” Although this is not an idea in development, Hynes said he was “going to steal” this gem. Hynies will want to stay tuned. Anything is possible.

For a long time, Hallmark fans have known that Andrew Walker and Tyler Hynes were related. How so? It turns out that Andrew’s wife, Cassandra Troy, and Tyler Hynes are cousins. Therefore, when Andrew and Cass started dating nearly two decades ago, Tyler and Andrew became friends. Then, they became cousins through marriage.
Moreover, viewers can thank Andrew for bringing Tyler to the network. Both are beloved Hallmark Hunks. They have each starred in a cornucopia of hit movies for the network. Now, they are doing cameos in each other’s movies. Moreover, they both starred in Three Wise Men And A Baby together. What is next for the two actors? That remains to be seen.
