The internet started crushing on Kelsey Anderson’s dad Mark when he first appeared during Bachelor hometown dates. The father-daughter duo shared an emotional moment about her late mother. Kelsey’s mom passed away in 2018 after battling breast cancer.
Her dad was on hand at the After The Final Rose special to see his daughter get engaged to Joey Graziadei. Bachelor Nation fans have campaigned for Mark Anderson as the next Golden Bachelor since his earlier appearance.
However, his daughter thinks he should apply for Golden Bachelorette instead. ABC confirmed last month that the female-driven spinoff will air this fall, though they haven’t officially chosen the lead.
Kelsey Anderson told TV Insider that the Bachelor Nation franchise is a great opportunity for her dad. “I think that it would really open him up to love again, and maybe some new friendships and new experiences,” she said.
But she doesn’t think The Golden Bachelor is the right move for her dad just yet. She explained, “I feel like he’d probably have to first ease into it, right? And maybe go on The Golden Bachelorette.”
The project assistant confessed that she was trying to talk him into applying for Golden Bachelorette. But one fan shot the idea down on Reddit. They wrote, “I think he’s way too young! Only 56, while most of the people on Gerry’s season were 60-70+. They’d have to cast younger for him (but that being said I’m definitely here for it).”
Has He Already Found His Match In This Golden Bachelor Alum?
Bachelor Nation fans aren’t the only ones invested in Mark Anderson’s love life. A Golden Bachelor alum expressed interest in him. Susan Noles didn’t find love with Gerry Turner, but she is willing to give it another chance with Kelsey’s dad.
She got her chance to meet him at the After The Final Rose taping. One Bachelor Nation fan took to another Reddit thread to joke that Susan and Mark could get married in the second Golden Wedding special.
