‘OutDaughtered’ Adam Busby Gives 2024 Eye Update On Hazel
OutDaughtered stars Danielle and Adam Busby have quite a bit to be thankful for these days. Fans are still waiting for news of a new season, but enjoy following the family online in the meantime.
As the quints approach their 9th birthday, fans are eager to keep up with the girls, particularly Hazel. The little girl proved to be incredibly popular with fans and they can’t get enough of her. But more importantly, fans are curious to learn more about her optical health.
Family patriarch Adam Busby just shared an update on social media. Keep reading to see what’s going on with Hazel.
Adam Busby Shares A Hazel Update With Fans
OutDaughtered fans know that Hazel has nystagmus. According to the American Optometric Association, this is classified as, “a vision condition in which the eyes make repetitive, uncontrolled movements.”
However, it doesn’t stop the little girl from living her best life. Fans can even easily recognize Hazel among her sisters by her signature glasses.
As the Busby girls get older, fans have wondered about Hazel’s condition. Adam recently provided an update on Instagram.
“Hazel’s first eye specialist appointment of 2024. This kid is such a trooper,” the TLC star captioned his Instagram video.
“All right, the girls are going to school, but they look like they’re going to a sleepover,” Adam explained in the video. He went on to say that the rest of his daughters were indeed on their way to class, but Hazel was going to the eye doctor instead. The rest of the clip featured a look inside the exam room.
Although experiences like these can be scary for small children, young Hazel didn’t seem bothered at all. Check it out here:

After taking a brief break from filming during the pandemic, the Busbys came back to TLC last year. Hopefully, this means that another season is just around the corner. With any luck, TLC will have an exciting announcement to make shortly.

Hazel you are amazing just like the rest of your sisters Adam and Danielle you have done a wonderful job with your beautiful girls
I was not born with Lil miss Hazel condition. my neck was out of placed and caused me to have about with nystagmus. called my chiropractor and she took a little punch object. punched my neck about 6 times and it was gone in 5 minutes. hoping that could be Hazels problem. just thought I would share that.
I have watched the show from the beginning. I also watch your you tube videos. Your children have really grown up.. I believe you stem from what your parents are. I think you and Danielle have done a great job bringing up these girls.
