‘DWTS’ Fans Shocked At Val Chmerkovskiy’s Off-Season Look
Once Dancing With The Stars ends for the season, the pro dancers typically return to their normal lives. Some go on tour while others teach classes and engage in other projects.
Season 32 champion Val Chmerkovskiy and his wife Jenna Johnson toured with the cast for a few weeks. Now, they’re focused on other events.
But one fan recently dug up a photo of Val’s off-season look that posed a lot of questions. Keep reading to see the photo and see what Val could be doing in his spare time.
Val Chmerkovskiy Trades In His Signature Look For Something New
Now that Val Chmerkovskiy is a father, he’s spent more time at home with his one-year-old son, Rome. However, he still makes time to get out and support his friends.
Recently, he supported his DWTS Season 32 partner Xochitl Gomez at her event. But lately, it seems like he’s eager to shake things up a little bit.
The posts with Xochitl Gomez are from earlier in the week, so Val’s new dramatic look happened sometime in the last few days.
“Wtf?!?!?! Is this real?? Please say it aint so 😭🤣” a Redditor shared on the platform, uploading a recent photo of Val’s Instagram story. According to Val’s Instagram, it certainly appeared he traded his trademark black hair for some blonde highlights.
Other Reddit users were certainly confused by the photo, but had fun with it anyway. Redditors wrote:

Another Redditor thought Val still looked quite handsome. It was just a shock to see a Chmerkovskiy brother without slicked-back black hair.
Some DWTS fans thought he might have an acting project coming up. After all, he recently had a guest role on General Hospital. It’s not outside the realm of possibility that he might try more acting roles.
Either way, it’s probably not a permanent change. But fans will know for sure when Dancing With The Stars returns in the fall.
Will The Champ Return To The Ballroom This Year?
Val Chmerkovskiy had an incredible run on DWTS last year. After bringing home the Mirrorball Trophy, some fans think he might want to end his career on the show with a high note. However, others know Val is fiercely competitive and will want to keep competing.
Either way, it’s clear he has plenty of opportunities available to him, no matter what his hair looks like.
