Michaela has been spending so much time with her siblings. In one of her recent YouTube videos, she taught her younger brothers how to make a marbled gift jar. According to some, it seems that many of the younger Bates look up to their older sister.
Others also believe that Michaela’s love for her siblings is one of the main reasons why she won her second “Biggest Heart Award” during the Bates family’s annual “I Love You Day” last month. She’s also one of the first visitors to Josie’s newborn son, Miles. However, some fans feel sad for the Bringing Up Bates star as she still hasn’t had a child in her nine years of marriage with Brandon.

Some Redditors discussed whether Michaela and Brandon have started their adoption process. According to the poster, Michaela Bates Keilen wanted to become a mother so badly that they sought out different ways to have a child. However, the second Bates child found out that IVF and surrogacy were not options for her due to health issues.
This leaves her and Brandon with no other choices aside from adoption. Meanwhile, some recalled that the Bringing Up Bates stars have already failed one adoption and stated that they’d rather keep everything private about the process until everything is finalized.
