Hustle & Flow Actor Had Serious On-Set Accident
Just because people are acting on the set of a movie, it doesn’t mean that real dangers can’t happen while working on a project. Unfortunately for Anthony Anderson, that’s exactly what happened to him not too long ago on the set of one of his films.
At the time, the actor was filming G20 in South Africa, and he recently recounted the incident while speaking to late-night host Jimmy Fallon. According to Anderson, the actors he was working with were “a bit overzealous” when it came to wanting to “whoop” his “a**.”
Actors threw Anderson into a wooden chair. Unfortunately, he “slammed” into the “wooden arm” of the chair, joking that it was made from “ancestral slavery wood.”
“It just stabbed me right in my kidney and brought me right to my knees,” the actor said.

Anthony Anderson Went To The Emergency Room In Cape Town
Things got bad enough for Anthony Anderson that he had to visit the emergency room in Cape Town. “Every two or so steps, I bucked over in pain, so I had to spend about four or five hours in the emergency room.”
Anderson revealed on social media that he suffered a “deep contusion.” Thankfully, however, nothing was broken from the incident. Things could have easily gone from bad to worse, so, he is lucky that his injury, while painful and inconvenient, didn’t develop into something far more severe.
As Anthony Anderson often does, he found ways to laugh about the incident since it happened, and he certainly has a unique story to tell about this movie scene gone wrong.
