Kelly Osbourne Massive Fight Leads To Son’s Name Change
Kelly Osbourne had a massive fight which led to her ultimately changing her son, Sidney’s name. Little Sidney was born at the end of 2022 to Kelly and her boyfriend, Sid Wilson of Slipknot. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned and it called for a name change. Read on for more details.
Kelly Osbourne Massive Fight Leads To Son’s Name Change
It was so exciting when Kelly Osbourne announced she was expecting her first child. She shared a photo of herself beaming as she held up a sonogram. Eventually, she announced that her baby boy was here and he was named after his father, Sid. He is now one year old and as adorable as ever and it seems that Kelly has taken to being a mother quite well. It does not hurt that her brother, Jack Osbourne has four children that she has doted on for years. However, there was one issue that Kelly and her partner struggled with.
According to E! News, Kelly had always wanted her son to have both her and Sid Wilson’s last names. She opened up about the drama on her family podcast, The Osbournes Podcast. Kelly told her parents:
“This is personal, and I didn’t expect to ever talk about this, but I’m going to. It’s the biggest fight me and my baby’s father have ever, ever, ever had, and probably ever, ever, will. I wanted our son to have both of our last names, and he wouldn’t let me. We had a huge fight. I feel that I was forced into doing something I didn’t wanna do.”

Clearly, this has caused a lot of dissension for the couple and hurt for Kelly, herself. She and Sid Wilson have been together roughly two years so they opted to come to a resolution. Kelly Osbourne went on to explain what is next for their baby boy:
“Right now, my son doesn’t have a double-barreled last name. But, after lots of eye-opening conversations and some couples therapy, he has seen the light. We are going to legally change our son’s name to have both of our last names.”
Her Argument
Kelly Osbourne shared her reasoning for why she believed their son should have both of their last names. She explained that they both made him so that was more than enough justification. As for why her partner would not initially budge, Kelly had this to say: “Sid comes from a really traditional English family.” It looks like, in the end, they will both win, and, to top it off, they made an adorable baby.
