Lala Kent Defends Scheana Shay’s Sandoval Loyalty
Lala Kent is defending her good friend and co-star, Scheana Shay’s loyalty to excommunicated cast member, Tom Sandoval. The Vanderpump Rules star has struggled to fit in during Season 11 after ‘Scandoval.’ Regardless, Shay has shown him mercy and grace but Kent seemingly understands why. Read on for more details.
Lala Kent Defends Scheana Shay’s Sandoval Loyalty
Scheana Shay has long been known as someone who wants to be friends with everyone. More so, she has been called out for never having true loyalty when need be. This has come into play with the whole Tom Sandoval situation. Ariana Madix is said to be her best friend but so was Sandoval. When it came out that he had been having an affair with Rachel Leviss, Shay knew she had to cut ties. She further learned how Sandoval was a multiple offender and called her former friend “sick.” Shay told him they could not be friends any longer but admitted it would be hard.
They two had opened Villa Blanca together and he was welcoming when the rest of the cast was calling her a homewrecker. Her allegiance to Ariana wavered as she was found to be in Sandoval’s suite during BravoCon 2023. Now, with Season 11 underway, she is still struggling with what she should do and giving him grace. According to Reality Tea, Scheana, James Kennedy, and Lala Kent were chatting about this during the after show. Kent rushed to Scheana’s defense as to why she was struggling to let Sandoval go simply because they were friends prior to her meeting Ariana.
James felt that it did not matter who met whom first, it is based on principle. Of course, Kent snapped and said this:
“It does matter, actually. It’s not like Scheana was besties with Ariana first. She and Tom have their own friendship history.”
Scheana tried to explain being in the middle and how much she cared about both Sandoval and Ariana. That led James to question how she would feel if the roles were reversed. Lala fumed more and noted how odd it was that Ariana wanted everyone to disengage from Sandoval. At the same time, she still lived under the same roof as he did.
Caught Between A Rock…
This may not be so much of an issue if Scheana Shay did not have a repeated history of being a friend flip-flopper. She has never had an allegiance to anyone, even Ariana Madix, and always makes things about herself. So, that is why people may be struggling with her in particular because they know her past. However, Lisa Vanderpump has encouraged all of the cast to be kind to Tom Sandoval as he is in a very dark place. Ariana feels differently because she was the one burned. As for living in the same home as him, they both love that house and she does not feel she should be inconvenienced by his mistake.
