‘The View’ Is Whoopi Goldberg On Chopping Block?
Fans are reeling over rumors that Whoopi Goldberg could be getting fired from The View. Aside from Joy Behar, she has been on the show the longest out of all the panelists. However, many people have wanted to see her leave the daytime talk show, while others don’t think The View would be the same without her. Whoopi Goldberg Gets Hate For How She Acts On The View
Whoopi Goldberg has been a controversial member of The View for a long time. She is never afraid to speak up on hot topics and she’s known for frequently cutting off her co-hosts to get her point across.
Some of Whoopi’s other actions have been questioned by viewers from time to time as well. She has stormed off the set, spoken out of turn, and even hurt the feelings of guests on The View.
Rumors about Whoopi’s future on the show have started spreading online. According to some fans, it is possible that she will be leaving the show involuntarily.

A Reddit user wrote, “So… is Whoopi getting fired? Lots of rumours swirling. What are your thoughts?”
The post continued by saying that the user would be fine if Whoopi Goldberg left the show. In fact, they’d be pleased. “I find myself wanting to hear these [people’s] points, but Whoopi keeps shutting them down halfway through a sentence, and you don’t actually get to hear, [what] everybody else is saying.”
They concluded the post by wondering if Whoopi is “okay,” pointing out that she seems triggered all the time.
Fans Don’t Think Whoopi Is Leaving Anytime Soon
Other fans of The View were quick to comment on the potential firing of the EGOT winner on Reddit. One viewer pointed out that the executive producer Brian Teta has said that the current panel is the best the show has ever had. Not to mention, The View has more daily viewers than any other daytime talk show this year. “ABC ain’t gonna mess with this winning formula,” they concluded.
It was also pointed out that Whoopi Goldberg is the biggest star on the show. It is unlikely they’d get someone as famous to fill her shoes once she does leave the daytime talk show.

Several other people said that they believed the OP was just posting wishful thinking on their part. “Don’t fabricate rumors because it’s what you want. If that’s what you want just say that,” one person wrote.
Additionally, it was pointed out that Whoopi is in the middle of a four-year contract that does not end until 2025. So, she will be on the show for at least another year/season.
There are a few people that shared the OP’s sentiment though. “I doubt she’ll ever be fired, but I do wish she would leave willingly,” one viewer wrote. “She’s been insufferable this season and it’s clearly time for her to move on. She just doesn’t seem like she enjoys this job anymore.”
