‘LPBW’ What Did Matt Roloff Do With Farm Amid Feud?
Little People Big World drama has surrounded Matt Roloff and what he would do with Roloff Farms. So, what did he decide to do with it amid all of the bitter family strife?
Little People Big World: Roloff Farms Drama A Huge Source Of Tension
The Roloff Farms family feud drama has been a goldmine for TLC over the last few seasons. The family tension and bitterness may be real, but, that TLC storyline more than writes itself. It got bad enough that Zach Roloff and Tori Roloff decided to get out of dodge, moving from Oregon to Battle Ground, Washington.
Matt Roloff also bought out Amy Roloff. So, he is the sole owner of the huge property he and his ex-wife built from nothing. Zach Roloff put an offer on a portion of the farm that Matt wanted to sell. Matt rejected the offer, as he wanted more than what Zach was willing to pay.
What Did Matt Roloff Do After Farm Deal Went South?
Matt Roloff put 16 acres of the farm up for sale. The portion he put up for sale includes the family home that he and Amy Roloff raised their children in. The initial price tag was $4M. When that didn’t sell, Matt dropped the price to $3,395,000.
Zach Roloff put in a much lower offer than Matt Roloff’s asking price. From a business perspective, it makes sense why Matt rejected the offer. The farm may have sentimental value, but, Matt wasn’t willing to sell that portion of the farm at an extreme family discount.
Little People Big World: What Did Matt Roloff Do With The Farm After No One Bought It?
Matt Roloff didn’t get his initial asking price. He also didn’t get a buyer after he dropped the price. With Plan A and Plan B not working out for Matt, he had to look for a Plan C. Matt eventually decided to rent out that portion of the property on a short-term rental basis.
Interested Little People Big World fans can book a stay in the iconic Roloff family home. The property is listed on popular platforms like Vrbo and Airbnb. A stay at Roloff Farms has a starting rate of $1,280 per night.
The good news is, this move by Matt Roloff has been a big hit. If people don’t have that much cash to fork over, they can split the cost among friends. The farmhouse has six bedrooms, and it can accommodate up to 16 guests at a time. Things can come out cheaper depending on how many ways you divide the bill.
The farm deal between family members may have caused a rift. From a business standpoint, Matt Roloff certainly made a savvy move when he decided to rent Roloff Farms out on a short-term basis to interested guests.
