Do Bachelor In Paradise fan-favorites Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt want another child after their fertility struggles? She shared an update on their future baby plans. Keep reading for all the details.

Bachelor In Paradise Couple Astrid Loch & Kevin Wendt Struggled To Conceive

Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt met on Season 5 of Bachelor In Paradise. However, their road to romance wasn’t easy. They split up before the season ended but reunited after filming.

They got engaged in 2019, but their wedding was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They initially bonded over their shared desire to start a family. Unfortunately, that was as bumpy as their romance.

The couple struggled to conceive, but Astrid Loch finally got pregnant in 2021 via IVF. They welcomed their son, August “Auggy” William, in late 2021. The baby thrived after a brief illness.

Astrid has been extraordinarily open about all aspects of motherhood. The couple welcomed their second child, Nash Lochland, in October 2023.

The former reality star often answers questions from her fans. In a recent Q&A, one fan asked if it was more difficult to adjust from no babies to one or from one baby to two.

The answer has since disappeared after the 24-hour time limit on Instagram Stories. However, the Bachelor Nation blog saw the response.

Astrid answered, “Depends on the day, but overall, for me, going from zero to one was way harder because you have to learn everything and so much of it is trial and error.”

What about going from two children to three? It’s more complicated for the couple because of their previous fertility struggles. The BIP alum did reveal that they still have one embryo left.

Does she want more children? She said, “I feel like we make too cute of kids to not keep going but I’m not sure Kev is on board for a third at the moment because life is very very busy as it is.”

Why It’s Such A Tough Decision

Astrid Loch candidly revealed that there are “no guarantees” with IVF. There’s a chance that the transfer could fail. If that happened, she said she would have to start the IVF process all over again.

“I’m not sure that I have that in me again,” Astrid said about the brutal fertility battle.

For now, it seems Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt are content to be a family of four. However, they haven’t completely ruled out the possibility of a third child.
