Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson had a lackluster reaction to her graduation gift. Her family tried to make the big day special as they were so proud of her. They also knew that it was a big decision and one she was not taking lightly. Yet, there was one big gift that she turned her nose up at but what was it? Read on for more details.
Honey Boo Boo’s Ungrateful Reaction To Graduation Gift
It is a huge deal that, after all Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson has been through, she is graduating high school. More so, she has been offered a huge scholarship to her dream college, Regis University in Colorado. There are some hiccups. Her eldest sister, Anna Cardwell was just diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma so she is questioning if she wants to leave her. Plus, it is unclear if Alana’s longtime boyfriend, Dralin Carswell can come with her. He has some legal stuff going on and if he has to stay in Georgia, they do not know where their relationship is headed.
With graduation finally over, it is time for her to get her big gift from her family. According to In Touch Weekly, her response to the gift was lackluster and somewhat ungrateful. She was having a party at Pumpkin and Josh Efird’s home and she catches a glimpse of her gift. It is a pink car ready for her to drive away but, in typical Alana fashion, she points something out.

“It’s not exactly the fancy ride I was hoping for. But I love my new car. Like, it’s my favorite color. Pink goes with everything, OK.” When she was initially car shopping, she wanted high priced rides but she did not have a job and for that matter, a license. A lot of work went into the car as Dralin and Josh spent a few weeks painting it this pinkish color. Initially, it was brownish-red so they did their best to make it Honey Boo Boo acceptable.
Still A Lot To Think About
This may not have been the dream ride Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson had been hinting at but it was meaningful. She added she did not have any payments for this care but Pumpkin burst her bubble. She still does not have a license so that is a hurdle she must overcome in order to drive the pink ride. There is still a lot for Alana to figure out until the case with Dralin Carswell is resolved. For now, she can see her family is setting her up for success.
