Has Kevin Costner Sued ‘Yellowstone’ For Season 5 Pay?
When Kevin Costner went through his messy Hollywood divorce last summer, there were many Yellowstone revelations. That is because the actor who portrays John Dutton in the Taylor Sheridan-related series had to prove his future income for the judge to determine how much child support he needed to give his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner.
However, in these child support hearings, Kevin dropped a bombshell. He revealed that he will need to sue the folks at Paramount. Did Kevin go to court against the Yellowstone folks?
Did Kevin Costner Sue Paramount For Yellowstone?
Although Yellowstone fans have been waiting for Season 5, Part 2 for over a year now, they have certainly had plenty of off-screen drama with the stars of the series. Front and center has been Kevin Costner.
Thanks to his divorce, fans have learned a lot about his status on the series. Firstly, he revealed he was no longer in the series. Second, he revealed that because he was fired from finishing the series, he would “probably go to court” over the pay.
Did Kevin Costner sue Paramount for lost Yellowstone wages? It doesn’t sound like it.
According to the industry newsletter Puck, “That lawsuit has not materialized.” Mathew Belloni continued, “I’m told, one of Costner’s reps is still asking that Sheridan bring him back to finish his arc.”
However, Paramount should be expecting another lawsuit.

Paramount Wants Yellowstone Stars To Use Own Money Spinoff For Pay Increase
The other big Yellowstone news in that latest article revealed that Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes are looking to sue Paramount. The issue has to do with the 2024 spinoff that will likely not star Matthew McConaughey. They want Costner-size seven-figure-per-episode salaries, but Paramount is not budging.
However, Paramount still owes them pay for Season 6. They want the stars to use that money in lieu of a pay raise for a new project. The trio is not budging on this issue. But, the network owes them this money and they will likely also go to court to get this money.
As for the spinoff, nothing has been confirmed, and it sounds like the network would be just fine without them starring in this new series if they don’t accept the salaries offered.

Taylor Sheridan Suing Cole Hauser
Yellowstone fans cannot forget that Taylor Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch is suing Cole Hauser’s Free Rein Coffee company. They claim that there is a “trademark infringement, unfair competition, and false advertising.” Back in December, it was reported that Sheridan’s company was suing Hauser’s over the similarity between the Bosque Ranch and Free Rein logos over the F and R overlapping. The claim is similar to the B and R overlapping.
Next, the Bosque Ranch lawsuit infers that Free Rein copied their idea to sell coffee. That is because Bosque Ranch released their coffee brand with the tagline “for the cowboy way of life, three months before Free Rein.
Moreover, Taylor Sheridan’s company has asked Cole Hauser’s company to “destroy” all of their products.
However, since this lawsuit claims that the Free Rein is “confusingly similar,” Cole Hauser continues to advertise as normal. Moreover, he has not made any sort of public announcement about this.
Therefore, it is possible that Cole could potentially be involved in a second Taylor Sheridan-related lawsuit. Whatever the case, it sounds like everyone involved with Yellowstone needs to keep a lawyer or two on retainer.
Fans, what do you do think of these lawsuits?
