Fans Upset Over Narration On Peacock, How To Turn It Off
Fans are up in arms over narration on Peacock, a paid streaming service through NBC Universal. It streams shows from Bravo and older sitcoms as well as hit movies. So, what is the chatter about narrating and how can it be turned off? Read on for more details.
Fans Upset Over Narration On Peacock, How To Turn It Off
There was a time when all the hit Bravo and NBC shows were on different streaming platforms. Hulu had all of the Housewives franchises as well as Vanderpump Rules. Then, things shifted and a new platform came out called Peacock. It allowed fans to watch all of their favorite Bravo and NBC shows plus hit movies in one place. Furthermore, with the pandemic, streaming movies at home took over so same-day theater releases like the Halloween franchise were available there, as well. They even streamed fan favorites like Chrisley Knows Best, morning shows, and classics like Cheers.
Unfortunately, something happened recently that has fans going crazy. It seems that the streamer is narrating Bravo and fans do not appreciate this happening. They even started a thread on a fan page about it. Some said it only happened with certain shows like RHOM and The Traitors. For Miami, they shared it went from English to Spanish. It has become a real issue and understandably so.
- I swear I’m the only person not having this issue. I’ve seen this posted 100 times
- And it’s like the exact same wording like they’re scams or something
- This happens to me with RHOM but none of the other ones. So weird.
- And it’s not just bravo it’s on a few of them and I too thought it was me only
Of course, some people did not have this problem but luckily, there were Peacock subscribers who were able to give the solution.
- Press pause on the show and scroll over to the audio & subtitle option and tap on English (AD). This happened to me the other day! Lol
- yes, but you have to do that with each new episode! Do you know how to turn it off for good?
A Chronic Problem?
It appears, from the comments, that this will be a recurring problem on Peacock. Though viewers can fix it, they have to do it repeatedly and that can be exhausting. Hopefully, the streamer will see these messages and find a way to permanently eliminate this issue. Or, find a remedy so that subscribers do not have to go through these steps repeatedly. Time will tell what will happen.
