T.J. Holmes Reveals ‘Bachelor’ Matt James Saved Him Amid Affair

T.J. Holmes reveals Bachelor Matt James was a shoulder to lean on
T.J. Holmes shared details about his unexpected friendship with Bachelor Matt James on the Amy & T.J. Podcast. He said Amy Robach was a witness to how invaluable Matt became to him when he was getting backlash amid his affair. He credits Matt for saving him from going down a very dangerous path.
T.J. also said, “She was also a witness to every time I picked up the phone and said, ‘Hey, just heard from Matt. Lemme let you read this’ or ‘Hey, I got lunch.'” He also shared that Matt was the first person other than Amy that he went in public with. He went on to say, “We had Mexican a couple times at the spot and drive back to, we went for a run.”
Now, Matt is a friend for life. T.J. went on to share his sentiments with Matt. He said, “You were one of those who wouldn’t give up on me, who wouldn’t let me crawl under a rock. And, bro, while you know this, that handful of guys that meant everything to me.”
Amy Robach also praised Matt
Amy Robach also praised Matt James for being there for T.J. Holmes. She echoed T.J.’s sentiments saying, “Matt, you may not realize, and it sounds like you don’t, just how much you meant to T.J. during this past year. It was a huge source of comfort to know that someone cared and someone got it.”
Matt’s final rose winner Rachael Kirkconnell became the focus of the controversy because of past photos that surfaced which made her look racist.
Rachael and Matt are still together today and going strong. Fans are expecting them to get engaged sometime soon.
T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach went public with their relationship in November 2022.
