‘Bachelor’ Fans Slam Show For Using Daisy’s Disability For Views
Daisy Kent has quickly become a fan favorite on The Bachelor. However, fans are upset with production as they are pushing Daisy’s disability and making it her personality. Daisy got the first one-on-one date and fans fell in love with her. Fans were already mad at producers for making Daisy go on a date that gave her a disadvantage with her hearing problems. It seems as though fans think the producers are doing Daisy wrong continuously.
Daisy Kent And Hearing Problems
Daisy Kent suffers from hearing loss. When she was younger, she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. One day, she woke up to her dad shaking her awake and she could not hear him. She tried hearing aids but when they did not work, she got surgery and now has a cochlear implant. On her date with Joey, they went to a music festival, which made fans mad that they were not more considerate of Daisy and her loss of hearing. However, when they were at dinner, Daisy told Joey her health journey. This was a sweet moment between the two and Joey was very understanding.
Fans Slamming Producers
On the group date, viewers saw Daisy’s personality more during the tennis match. However, when she had a talk with him after the date, she talked more about her cochlear implant. Fans think this was all the producers doing. They think she had more to say to Joey and they edited it to be just about her loss of hearing and they are not happy. They went to Reddit to give their opinions.
- “I don’t like the narrative around Daisy. It seems like everything is about her cochlear implant. And I understand that’s part of who she is but it’s like, can we get to know HER. her likes, passions, dreams,”
- “They are frankenbiting her. The editors drop ‘cochlear implants’ into her convos all the time…”
- “She doesn’t have a choice in how they edit her story line, she might have told him about her love of the snow, the lakes, her family, what her future goals are, what she learned in college. We don’t know because production shows us what they want to show us.”
Viewers just want to see more of Daisy and who she is as a person.

While viewers are slamming the producers for their storyline with Daisy, they may change what they are doing after hearing the feedback. Hopefully, fans get to know more of Daisy Kent and her personality and not just hear her talk about her cochlear implant. There is more to her than what is being displayed on the show.
