My 600-lb Life Season 10 featured the story of David Nelson. He appeared on the show weighing 763 pounds. The Idaho native grew up with an unhealthy relationship with food. He was raised in a foster care system and came to a point where he barely had anything to eat. David also experienced neglect and abuse. David has gone through so many problems in life. He was already 250 pounds in middle school. At the age of 17, the My 600-lb Life alum met his foster mom, Robin, who helped him live a healthier lifestyle. However, he still faced mental health issues and even began to have suicidal thoughts.
But things changed when he met Dr. Now. Despite initially struggling with the bariatric surgeon’s regime, David showed determination in making healthy choices in life. He eventually dropped 155 pounds during his time on the show, bringing him down to 608 lbs.
David Is Looking Unrecognizable Today
David has also kept in touch with the fans since his episode ended in Season 10. The former My 600-lb Life star continues to pursue his physical goals and is looking unrecognizable today. Recently, Dr. Now’s patient shared a clip of himself sharing updates about his journey.

According to David Nelson, he’s still keeping up with his workout and diet routines. He added that he’s now down to 400 lbs and is pushing to reach 300 pounds. The TLC alum later shared that he’s been doing 100 push-ups a day and riding an indoor bicycle. He also watches movies to entertain himself while shedding pounds.
My 600-lb Life: What Is David Nelson Up To Today?
Aside from losing weight, David has also been thriving in life today. Many of his recent photos are about his travels and bonding time with his friends. The My 600-lb Life alum has yet to film for a return episode. But it seems he’s trying to reach his goals first before reuniting with Dr. Now. His IG bio also states, “Starting my journey on my physical and mental health my starting weight 825 goal is 250.”
David Nelson is one of the most inspiring patients of Dr. Now. He has also been positive in life, and many commend him for staying in touch with the fans after the show.
