How Todd & Julie Chrisley Keep In Touch While Incarcerated
Todd and Julie Chrisley have been married for nearly thirty years so being away from each other cannot be easy. She was sentenced to seven years behind bars whereas his sentence is twelve years. Furthermore, they are in separate states, he is in Pensacola whereas she is in Kentucky. He has repeatedly talked about the deplorable conditions that he is living in. More so, his daughter, Savannah Chrisley, has spoken out about what her father is going through. They have all hoped for an early release and have kept very faith-based that they can be reunited sooner rather than later.
With everything going on, they have been fortunate to have visitors. Nanny Faye was with Todd for the holidays and Julie has had parents come to see her, as well. So, how do they show love and support to each other when they are incarcerated? According to People, Savannah Chrisley opened up about how they communicate when she guested on The Adversity Advantage Podcast.
“When you look at our prison system and they like to say, ‘Oh, we pride ourselves on trying to keep families together,’ we don’t do that at all because my parents, they have not gotten to speak to each other on the phone. It has been a year and they have been together for 30 years and they have not gotten to speak to each other.”
So, how do Todd and Julie Chrisley catch up with each other? Savannah shared that they email via an app but the messages are delayed despite modern technology. “But emails are delayed. You never know if they’re going to get them. You just don’t know. They can’t send mail via postal service,” the twenty-six-year-old explained.
The Messenger
It has been previously alleged that correction officers were stealing Todd and Julie Chrisley’s mail. Therefore, sending traditional letters has not been the best option. However, Savannah Chrisley does get to talk to her parents on the phone. Though they cannot physically talk to one another, she can be the go-between and relay messages.
“Every call I have with my mom is ‘Please tell your dad how much I love him’ and every call with dad is ‘Please tell your mom how much I love her.’ There is not a single call that they don’t say that.”
