When a farmer is looking for love, it is not always that easy. Of course, women think they might be getting the typical cowboy but a lot goes into their days. This is especially true if they run their own farm or manage a gaggle of animals. Fantasy versus reality can be very different so when women come on Farmer Wants a Wife, they are put through their paces. Yet, how exactly are they eliminated? Is there a checklist or is it far deeper? Does production get involved or do the four farmers already know from the beginning which women they really want to pursue?
According to Distractify, this show is unlike many reality dating shows. The men do take their time getting to know the eligible ladies. As on The Bachelor or, going back in time, Rock of Love, one person was sent home each week once the chemistry failed to be there. With this series, the ladies stay as long as there is something there to explore or dig deeper. There is no mandatory weekly rose ceremony or forced decision that has to be made.
This is actually a good tactic for Farmer Wants a Wife because it allows the cast to continue to grow closer. They then only cut someone loose when the time is truly right. What viewers seem to enjoy about the series is that it is far more genuine and less competitive. Of course, the women are fighting for the man that they want but they are not clamoring for a rose. Fans are responding to the show, calling it “wholesome” which is high praise for a reality dating show.

This seems like the kind of show some will sleep on but it is definitely worth a watch because there is heart behind it. That is what the world needs.
