Trent Johnston is now a grandfather, and he’s making special memories with the daughter of Elizabeth “Liz” Johnston and Brice Bolden. Leighton Drew Bolden arrived in early November 2023, and the cute baby melts the hearts of 7 Little Johnstons fans. A new photo shared by proud grandma, Amber Johnston seemed very sweet, and it’s probably one to treasure in the future.

From what TLC fans see of the family patriarch on TLC, they decided that he’s mostly a grumpy, over-controlling hypocrite. Mind you, when it comes to controlling, Amber doesn’t get off lightly, either. Then again, she was spot on when she told Liz Johnston that if she and Brice Bolden moved in together, they would end up with a baby. At the time, she felt concerned about her daughter’s career as a nurse.

Fortunately, Trent Johnston seems happy to be a grandfather, and he seems to melt with love for the baby. In fact, the TLC star calls himself Leighton Bolden’s “Boppa.” Of course, 7 Little Johnstons’ fans can’t wait for Season 14 so they can see his reaction to the news about the pregnancy. However, more than that, fans seem impatient to see Leighton on their screens. However, that might only happen in Season 15 on TLC.

There have been a few photos of Elizabeth’s dad with her baby, and one arrived in January that revealed him cuddling his fast-asleep granddaughter. In the caption of that post, he said, “… it doesn’t get better than this.” No doubt, this grandchild will spend a lot more time with him in the future. The latest photo revealed him with Leighton who seemed fascinated by the flowers.

Liz went back to work, and in the caption of the post on Instagram on February 2, it revealed that Trent Johnston gets to babysit on Thursdays.
