Statler Has Wild Idea For New ’90 Day Fiance’ Spinoff
90 Day Fiance celeb Statler Riley is more than just a TLC cast member. Much like viewers themselves, Statler is also a fan of the franchise. As such, she has a few spinoff ideas of her own. Recently, she shared one. So, would TLC ever take her idea seriously?
90 Day Fiance Fans First Met Statler Riley In Scenes With Dempsey
TLC first introduced Statler Riley and Dempsey Wilkinson in Before the 90 Days Season 6 scenes. Statler is a quirky American who fell for Dempsey, a woman who lives across the pond in the UK. As with all 90 Day Fiance relationships, whether or not these two could make things work for years to come was a big question.
Of course, there were other factors in play as well. In many ways, Statler came across as overly clingy, as she wanted to move in with Dempsey essentially right out of the gate. In addition, Statler had more experience with women than Dempsey had. So, Dempsey had concerns that this could be an issue in their relationship.
Statler Shares Crazy Idea For New 90 Day Fiance Spinoff
It turns out, when Statler Riley isn’t filming 90 Day Fiance scenes with Dempsey Wilkinson, she is a fan of the franchise, much like viewers. One thing that certainly comes to mind with the franchise, especially in the last handful of years, is expansion. There are now so many franchise spinoffs that it’s hard for many casual viewers to keep up.
Interestingly, Statler Riley recently took to social media to share a new 90 Day Fiance spinoff idea. According to Statler, she would love to see her 90 Day House idea come to life, where cast members live in a house over the course of a summer.
Where it gets interesting is that one 90 Day Fiance cast member would get voted out each week, with a new one taking their place. The way Statler envisions it, there would be no therapy, just “drinks & drama”.
Could 90 Day Fiance Spinoff Idea Work?
With as many 90 Day Fiance spinoffs as TLC now juggles, Statler’s latest suggestion isn’t the craziest idea. Big Brother meets The Real World could absolutely work. Indeed, if producers wanted to kick it up another notch, they could also add a splash of Survivor, with games and challenges that test cast members mentally and physically.
There’s no denying that TLC is sitting on a goldmine with the 90 Day Fiance franchise. Even though some viewers do experience fatigue with all the new content they churn out, odds are good that even the most oversaturated viewer would still tune in for a spinoff like this if ever they decided to create it.
