The CW Airing Hallmark’s ‘Ride,’ Star Hints At Season 2
The CW is going to premiere the Hallmark series Ride on Monday, January 22. Originally on Hallmark, this series is about rodeo family drama about the McMurray family who try to hold on to their family’s livelihood after a tragic loss. This series is compared to Heartland and Yellowstone, without the language and train station.
Here is more of what viewers can expect, as well as some potential news about Ride Season 2.
What Is The CW Series Ride About?
The rodeo dynasty series Ride is making its network debut on The CW on Monday. What is this series about? Ride follows the McMurray family who owns a ranch in a small Colorado town.
However, what makes their lives more complicated are the secrets that could take their world away from them. Who will save the ranch and continue the McMurray legacy?
Ride Stars Nancy Travis as Isabel McMurray, Tiera Skovbye as Missy McMurray, Beau Mirchoff as Cash McMurray, and Jake Foy, as Tuff McMurray. In addition, Sara Garcia portrays Valeria Galindo and Marcus Rosner as Austin McMurray.
Rosner went to Instagram to share a full circle moment. “First acting gig I ever had was on @thecw – it was a show called The Secret Circle. I kissed @cindy_busby and had my neck slashed all inside 90 seconds…so this will be totally different…😏But seriously, this is really cool and I’m excited for this cast and the creators. We ride again. 👏”
But, will they ride into Season 2?

Nancy Travis Hints At Season 2
Late On Friday, Nancy Travis posted a reminder on Instagram. She wrote “Comin’ back to town. @thecw starting Jan 22 8/7c – Swing by!” This post was liked by nearly 1,000 people, including Hallmark’s EVP of Programming, Lisa Hamilton Daly, and included a big question.
One fan asked, “Is this season 2???” Nancy replied to this poster, “Soon.”
Does this mean that Ride fans will finally get Season 2? While The CW has not made a statement on their intentions for the future of this series, this is the most positive news that fans have had.
Nancy Travis did not have to respond, but she did. Moreover, it seems with the single word “soon” that there should be news soon. That could mean that a decision will be made soon. Or, it could mean that an announcement may be forthcoming.
Already, The CW has renewed Sullivan’s Crossing for Season 2. It seems very possible that they are ready to fill up their schedule with more family dramas. Therefore, they may want more of this Western rodeo drama that already has a built-in fan base.
