Does Erin Krakow’s Latest Post Reveal Hallmark Is Filming More WCTH?
Is Hallmark filming more WCTH? On Thursday, Erin Krakow went to Instagram to share a snowy photo of several movie trailers. She wrote, “Back at it! βοΈπ¬”
At first glance, this seems to indicate that Erin is filming a new movie. Although she did not reveal where she posted from, it seemed like Vancouver, where they have had quite a dumping of snow the past few days.
However, one comment seemed to indicate that this is a When Calls The Heart filming project. Johannah Newmarch replied, “YES! See you soon!!! ππβ€οΈ” To this reply, Hearties shared their enthusiasm and their predictions.

- They don’t film WCTH in the winter. It been 8 years filmed in Winter meaning Jan 2016.
- The long writer’s strike here has thrown all filming off. It ended fairly recently, so shows are in production again. That may be why they are filming now, but not certain. ππ¬ π¦.
Although Johannah could certainly be filming a regular Hallmark movie with Erin Krakow, this post seems to lean into the possibility that they are returning to Hope Valley. Could Hallmark be filming Season 12? Or is this something else?

Before the worldwide pandemic, Hallmark made annual WCTH Christmas movies that premiered on Christmas Day. Could this new production be a Christmas Special? That is certainly possible.

Why Hasn’t Hallmark Announced Erin Krakow’s New Project?
Hearties may wonder why Hallmark has not announced Erin Krakow’s new project, whether it be WCTH-related or not. That is a valid question. However, earlier this week, both Barbara Niven and Alison Sweeney posted that they were in Vancouver filming.
Although neither revealed the project they were working on, it has already been revealed through industry sources that Hallmark is filming One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery. Generally, Hallmark makes a statement about a new movie in such a beloved franchise. Could there be a reason for a delay in any such statement?
This week, the feel-good network is celebrating and focusing on The Way Home Season 2 premiere, which is on Sunday, January 21 at 9 p.m., Eastern. This multi-generational time-traveling series was a top-five cable series last year. Therefore, it appears that the network is not sharing any news that is not related to the popular series starring Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, and Evan Williams.
Should there be any news about WCTH or Erin Krakow’s latest project, that should be announced in the coming weeks.
