Hugh Hefner’s Widow Spills Truth About Strict Mansion Rules
Playboy experienced a major resurgence in the mid-2000s with the hit E! reality series, The Girls Next Door. It revolved around Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner and his three girlfriends. At the time, he was seeing Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson. After five seasons, the main three exited and three new girls moved in, one of them being Crystal Harris. He ultimately married Crystal but stories came out about life at the mansion. It seemed tainted and dangerous, filled with drugs, unapproved nude photos, and so much more.
For quite some time, Crystal denied any wrongdoings and then, in 2017, Hef passed away, leaving Crystal a widow. The mansion was eventually sold by RHOBH star, Mauricio Umansky and his brokerage, The Agency. Finally, Secrets Of Playboy came out and everything Holly Madison had been saying for years was confirmed. This time, Crystal backed her and all of the victims. Now, she has released her own book, “Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself.” She is telling her side, according to Page Six and it was not the most fun experience.

“Our nail polish couldn’t be anything but some neutral color, no French manicure.” As for her hair, she could not have any roots showing, per Hugh Hefner. “So I’d have to go bleach it and it would burn my scalp and I’d have blisters.” Sadly, Crystal began to feel that this was okay and the way to be beautiful, at least to Hef. As for the mansion, the lux grounds may have appeared amazing. However, they were anything but.
Behind Mansion Doors
Crystal Hefner reveals that the mansion was actually a hot mess behind closed doors.
“This place doesn’t really get cleaned that well and there’s mold, and it just felt just kind of run down and gross after a while. Too, too many parties. It was worn out.”
Unfortunately, the animals started to pass on. That was the allure of the mansion for Holly Madison as she adored the petting zoo outside. As for Crystal, she talked about crying all of the time. Furthermore, she shared that Hugh Hefner had her under a 6 pm curfew once they wed. The usual curfew was 9 pm but he wanted to be able to have dinner and watch movies before crass events began.
