TLC’s Little People, Big World (LPBW) star Caryn Chandler’s son, Connor, is in a nasty custody battle with his ex. Turns out, Ashley Washam filed for sole custody after their split. Caryn Chandler’s Son’s Nasty Custody Battle: ‘Erratic’ Behavior

Per court documents obtained by The Sun, Ashley Washam filed for sole custody of her son Liam back in November 2022. Furthermore, she’s accusing Caryn Chandler’s son of having “erratic and unsafe behavior” around their son that terrifies her.

The outlet reports obtaining the Hearing Memorandum just a day before the couple was set to go to trial. The court documents reveal Connor is fighting for legal joint custody of their son.

In the documents, Ashley Washam argues she should have full custody because she has had Liam with her “at all times” from the moment he was welcomed into the world. Furthermore, the court documents clarify that Ashley has never denied Caryn Chandler’s son access to their child. She agrees “nearly every time” as long as Connor’s father was also present to supervise the visit.

States She Is Frightened By His Behavior

Ashley Washam does not believe joint legal custody is fair as she claims Caryn Chandler’s son rarely wants to spend time with Liam. She, however, clarifies it is largely because he doesn’t want supervised visits. Ashley expresses being “frightened” by Connor’s “erratic” and “unsafe” behavior. So, she fears what could happen if Liam is left alone in his care.

Father rarely will take Liam for parenting time because he refuses to have his parenting time supervised by his father (or anybody else) although he has allowed his father to supervise his parenting time on several occasions.

The court documents continue: “It just depends on what Father wants or how he feels at the time as to whether he will allow his father to supervise his parenting time with Liam.”

Ashley Washam claims Connor hasn’t attended a medical appointment regarding Liam since he was about nine months old. Furthermore, she claims he has no knowledge of his daily routines and little interest in his needs.

“His behavior frightens Mother and she will take all reasonable precautions to assure that Liam is protected while in Father’s presence.”

Per the court documents, Ashley Washam does not wish to take Liam from his father. Moreover, she wants them to have a good relationship. Her priority, however, is to make sure Liam is safe.
