‘General Hospital’ William deVry Mourns Heartbreaking Death

General Hospital star William deVry took to social media recently to share he was mourning a heartbreaking death. He shared several photos. He thanked everyone for their love and support. Finally, he took the time to explain that he’s shared so much of his journey with his fans that he believed they had a right to know about this tragic loss. Who passed away? He’s A Huge Dog Lover

As General Hospital fans who follow William deVry on social media know, he has a lot of passions. There are two things, however, that he loves above all else. Hockey and animals. Over the years, William deVry has never hesitated to open his home to dogs in need of rescue. This has sometimes resulted in him having a pretty full house of canines.

The General Hospital star even takes to social media from time to time to share photos of the previous rescue dogs staying in his home. Just recently, William deVry took to social media to share a precious photo. It was his unmade bed. And, there were puppies everywhere. “What’s for breakfast?” He teased in the caption of the photo.

He also regularly posted photos of his rescue dogs curling up to enjoy hockey or whatever sporting event was currently on the television.

On January 6th, he took to social media with some pretty tragic news. One of his furbabies watched their very last game with him. Sadly, he shared that his dog named Josie passed away. He decided to share news of the death because he knew his followers had gotten to know Josie over the years. He didn’t want to find himself in a situation later where people were asking where Josie was or what happened to Josie.

Very sad news to share. Unexpectedly. Josie unfortunately watched her last @CanadiensMTL game with me on Thursday. Only sharing cause u guys have been such a big part of her rescue journey. Thanks to all who loved her journey.

His Followers React To The Sad News

One fan penned in response to the tragic news: “I’m so very sorry for your loss of Josie, especially, unexpectedly. I am sure she had a wonderful life with you, but, at this time I’m sure you feel cheated of more time with her.”

Another added: “I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost one of my rescue dogs last month. She died in my arms. I know how devastated you must feel. Hugs”

Now, William deVry was very engaged with his fans in the comments of his tweet. Here are several responses he made:

  • “We def felt she’d be the last one standing. 100%”
  • “Makes it all worth it. Knowing they had a good life.”

Despite his heartbreak, he even showed sympathy to other fans who penned about the death of their furbabies.

“Oh man…so very sorry. What is it with these family members when we lose them,” he penned in response to a fan discussing the death of two dogs.

Overall, there was nothing but love for General Hospital’s William deVry in the comments of his tweet. Fans hope he could find peace in knowing he gave Josie an incredible life before her passing.
