‘Shark Tank’: Where To Buy VibeRide Skateboard Brakes
A brand-new episode of Shark Tank is on tonight after taking a few weeks off for the holiday season. With the new episode, several new products are being presented to the sharks for their consideration. One of these is from a skateboarding company with a product called VibeRide.

What is VibeRide from Shark Tank?
Three University of Utah students came up with the idea of the VibeRide Skateboard Brakes. These students, Carson MacDonald, Charlie Cannon, and Chris Goodhue, developed a brake system for both skateboards and longboards. They are now coming to Shark Tank looking for investors to help them grow their company.
The idea behind creating this braking system is to help skateboarders manage speed and control. This remains especially important when dealing with downhill environments. It all started with the three acquired patents and designs from Brakeboard, an Australian company. They then set out over three years to refine the initial designs and create the VibeRide Skate Brakes.
The idea was to use mini disc brakes and ceramic discs sourced from car factories while creating the more efficient way to slow down a skateboard. This then creates a safer way to brake on downhill terrains than the regular foot braking. Charlie had already seen success with his EXO Drones, and from here, their company was created.
The company also has cred with partnerships with recognized skateboarding companies like Braille Skateboarding. This helped increase their business and allowed them to expand their product line.

There are several products VibeRide offers. These include the Brake-Equipped Longboard, a Standalone Braking System, an Electric Longboard with Brake, and Branded Apparel.
When looking at the Brakeboards, there are several different designs and they are on sale now for $229. The normal price runs $359. The VibeRide Switch with a strong and foot pedal is $189, with a normal price of $279. The Cruiser Series drops in the summer of 2024, and there is a notification list customers can sign up for.
The Brake Kits by themselves run $147 on sale and $229 regular price. There are also electric products, ranging from $370 up to $799, and merch including shirts. VibeRide is also available on Amazon with one Longboard that runs $279.
