Lisa Vanderpump & Hubby Sued For Mistreatment Of TomTom Bartenders
There have been amazing stories of Lisa Vanderpump and how she has given jobs to those who truly need them. Then, she and her husband had a lot of drama when it came to their lease with PUMP. They opted not to renew it after a decade then the owners of the building said they failed to comply with their contract. It was more than they wanted to deal with. Especially since they had a lot of damage control to do at TomTom after ‘Scandoval.’ There were so many negative comments coming at the restaurant and it was impacting business some.
Fortunately, it seems to have recovered, she found a new locale for PUMP, and a new season of Vanderpump Rules is coming on January 30th. That is, until now. According to Page Six, LVP and Ken are now being sued by TomTom bartenders. Apparently, they are being accused of wrongful termination. The bartenders were employed at TomTom from May 2022 through December 2022 however they complained about the work environment. Therefore, they believe that, due to this, they were ultimately let go from the hotspot.
It is also claimed by an ex-employee that the power couple “blacklisted him by defaming him to future employers.” Furthermore, they are saying that Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd: “[published] false statements and comments to numerous third parties” about his “profession, reputation and character.” So, what exactly did these bartenders say was wrong with TomTom to cause such a fuss? They stated the bar lounge had “unsafe work conditions” plus “sewage and backup in the employee break/locker room.”
More Dirty Deeds
Along with alleged safety issues and sewage, there was more to the TomTom claims. “During this period, [the former bartenders] experienced rampant violations of California labor laws, harassment, and unsafe working conditions,” the suit stated. As of now, Lisa Vanderpump nor Ken Todd have addressed these allegations. As for the bar’s namesake, Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval were not listed therefore they do not have to say anything. However, they were proactive during the pandemic to try to raise funds for their staff to keep them afloat.
Do you believe these allegations or do you think this was just perfect timing since the couple is already heavily in the news? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
