‘Southern Charm’ Craig Conover Gives Fans The ‘Ick’

Southern Charm star, Craig Conover has started to give fans the “ick.” Although he has always been handsome and is more stable than he has been in a long time, something about him has turned viewers off. So, what is it, and can he redeem himself? Keep reading for more details.
Craig Conover Gives Fans The ‘Ick’
Since Southern Charm began, Craig Conover was the handsome young guy who was known for telling fables. He had been in law school and claimed he had graduated and was taking the bar. Eventually, he revealed that he had not turned in his final thesis therefore making him ineligible to take the bar. He did finally pass and started his own law firm but that lie set the tone for the rest of his seasons. Craig wanted to be a part of different ventures and eventually started his own pillow line, Sewing Down South.

It has been immensely successful but he also found happiness in his personal life with Paige DeSorbo. He wanted to marry her and has renovated his home to be family-friendly. She was not ready for marriage or babies and eventually, they broke up after three years. Paige has been featured in Season 10 of Southern Charm but so have more of Craig’s lies. He alleged Jarrett ‘JT’ Thomas called Patricia Altschul a “b*tch” which never appeared to have happened. Even his co-star, Shep Rose was confused by this as he was with Craig and JT and never heard this.

While on the latest cast trip to The Bahamas, Craig Conover attempted to defend himself. He stated he was a “lawyer and a storyteller” but that rubbed viewers the wrong way. They found him to be disgusting just for even making that statement and fans called him out on this:
- Is it just me or is Craig screaming “I’m a lawyer, I’m a storyteller!” not the most icky thing ever
- I’m a lawyer and I never tell people that I’m a lawyer and I certainly don’t do it to defend myself if I was a LIAR.
- Everything craig says gives ick!
What Kind Of Lawyer?
After Craig Conover lied about taking the bar and continued fabricating stories, fans were still struggling. Although he stated he was a lawyer, some wondered if he had ever actually practiced or tried a case:
- Has he even worked 1 day as an attorney?
- I saw him do ads for personal injury type cases a few years ago. No clue if any of them ever went anywhere or he actually took any on or was just dreaming. But that’s all I got.
- Was he ever an actual working lawyer orrr
That was disputed on and off but he is listed on the South Carolina bar website. Therefore, he is a lawyer but a non-practicing one. This season has been hard for Craig because he is stagnant with Paige and his friends miss him. Austen Kroll has felt betrayed by Craig and the fact he never wants to go out. He did finally confess he was struggling with alcohol abuse and had to stop partying to get stable.
Did Craig saying he was a “lawyer and a storyteller” give you the “ick” or has he been bothersome for some time now? Let us know and watch Southern Charm Thursdays on Bravo.
