‘Below Deck’ Gabriela Barragan Joins Forces Bashing Bravo
Some crew members who have appeared in the Below Deck franchise have spoken out about their anger towards Bravo. One of them is upset about the low pay. Another one mentioned racism, while a third felt they were manipulated by a producer. Read on to find out who is calling the show out.
Below Deck Cast Members With Complaints
Some crew members on the various charter shows leave of their own free will. Meanwhile, others end up fired. Even Captain Lee Rosbach moved on, a shock to Bravo fans. However, some of them move to fresh pastures and never look back while others nurture their anger. And, they don’t feel shy to talk about it, either. One recent complaint came about the pay, and it shouldn’t surprise Bravo fans that the crew member is Ashley Marti.
Ashley appeared in Season 3 of Below Deck Sailing and was a no-show at the Reunion after she started her OnlyFans. Another person with complaints is Ashley’s colleague Gabriela Barragan who encouraged people of color to get into the yachting industry. Her recent issue is about racism aboard the Bravo vessels. And, the final one is Elizabeth Frankini
Elizabeth Frankini, Ashley Marti & Gabriella Have Bravo Issues
Elizabeth Frankini was the subject of much discussion when she was fired for getting intimate with James Hough in a guest cabin. During the Reunion, Elizabeth admitted:
We were off charter, we were drinking. It shouldn’t have happened without permission.
Well, that story seems to have changed, according to a new report by Business Insider. Elizabeth claimed that her experience which led to her firing from Below Deck was partly the fault of the producers who allegedly encouraged her to get intimate with James in an area exclusively reserved for guests.
Pay Issues With Below Deck
Former Bravo crew member Ashley Marti opted to leave the show and do her well-paying OnlyFans over money issues. Now it turns out that she felt miffed because the cast from Real Housewives take home much more pay. So, she feels that it is very “unfair” that the lower crew gets paid about $6K a month. Meanwhile, captains can earn in the region of $18K a month. Comparing herself to Real Housewives stars, she said:
We’re on TV, but technically we’re the help. We don’t get the same treatment.
Finally, Gabriela Barragan complained about racism. Additionally, she had issues with producers who she alleged encouraged her to drink alcohol. Talking about racism that fans didn’t see on the Bravo show, she claimed people made inappropriate jokes. One cast member allegedly pointed at a black person, saying:
Look, Gaby, your brother.
Another scene that viewers of Below Deck never saw allegedly included a “talent show” for the guests, where someone joked about “slaves.”
What are your thoughts about the allegations by Gabriela Barragán, Elizabeth Frankini, and Ashley Marti? Do you think the Below Deck cast should be paid the same as Real Housewives? Do you believe the claim that a producer caused a firing by being manipulative? What about the alleged racism that wasn’t shown on TV?
