Per fans, Mama June hopes Gypsy Rose will consider reaching out to her. She claims she relates to her story. So, she believes they would have something to talk about.
In response to this, fans on Reddit were left rolling their eyes. One fan sarcastically noted how “identical” Mama June and Gypsy’s stories were. Other fans pointed out that if she was comparing herself to Gypsy’s mother Dee Dee they could see the connection. Like Dee Dee, Mama June made a career out of exploiting her children to get out of actually doing any work.
Furthermore, most fans agreed Mama June was just hoping to ride the cash train Gypsy is currently sitting on.
It’s all for attention/relevancy. Gypsy is a hot topic right now, so June is trying to get any lick of attention she can (that’s not centered around her custody drama). Once people move onto the next big topic, she’ll drop Gypsy too

Thinking about it a bit longer, fans pointed out that Gypsy Rose likely isn’t allowed to connect with Mama June Shannon anyway. Fans pointed out that it is likely a condition of her parole that she can’t associate with other felons. So, having a relationship with Mama June may not be something she can even do legally.
