Trista Sutter shares an update on how Ryan is doing

In May 2021, more than a year after becoming ill, Ryan Sutter went on Trista Sutter’s podcast to say, “I tested positive for Lyme disease. It seems like something that I will always have. Now I know, and I can build back my immune system to fight it off.”

At one point, the illness took over his life. Ryan was very ill and even struggled to do day-to-day activities. They ruled out cancer, lupus and other diseases in their quest for answers.

In December, Trista shared an update on how Ryan is doing with treatments for his Lyme disease. She said, “He has made great progress. He’s still up and down. Lyme Disease is not an easy diagnosis by any means. He’s been hopeful that he would have found better results with the treatments that he’s gone through. He’s still looking for something to really eradicate it from his body, but he’s definitely feeling good.”

Along with having Lyme disease, Ryan had also found out that he had mold in his body which is most likely from years of being a firefighter.

Now that he’s doing well he’s also back to being a firefighter full time. He is working in Denver which is one reason the family decided to move from Vail.

He shared an update as well

In May of last year, Ryan also shared an update. He shared a photo of himself getting blood drawn. He said, “Every few months I get around 40 vials of blood drawn. It usually takes about a half an hour and sets a personal record for the nurse who conducts the procedure. I do it as validation of both progress and progress still needed. It’s an objective look at my health and part of the healing process. I’ve learned that life is an accumulation of processes. Professional, personal, health, spiritual…”

He went on to say that by doing this he’s able to see that things aren’t always as good or as bad as they seem. It’s on ongoing process and he’s taking it day by day.

Ryan is also undergoing Bee Venom Therapy. This is when he allows honeybees to sting him. This process reportedly weakens the bacteria in his system.

Doing all the blood work shows him what progress he has made or still has to make to get even better.

Overall, Ryan is doing better and continues to improve.

Stay tuned for more updates.
