Justin Hartley’s CBS Action Drama ‘Tracker’: All The Details
Justin Hartley has taken on a totally new role in the upcoming CBS action series, Tracker. His new role as lone wolf Colter Shaw will be dramatically different from his years as Kevin Pearson on This Is Us. What is this new drama series about? What is Tracker all about?
CBS Has New Series Tracker Starring Justin Hartley
Justin Hartley has been promoting his upcoming CBS series called Tracker. Speaking to ET Online, he revealed that “It’s a show that I just haven’t seen before.” What is it about? Tracker is based on the Jeffery Deaver novel about Colter Shaw. He is a lone wolf tracker who was raised off-grid. Colter is very “free,” living in an Airstream, helping private citizens, as well as law enforcement solve a cornucopia of mysteries. He is a “reward seeker.” He loves the challenge but is all business when it comes to collecting on the payment or reward.
However amazing Colter Shaw’s talents are, he has a “fractured family” that causes him some grief and detours.
Hartley is also an executive producer of this new series. Moreover, he is very proud of this series. “It feels good. We worked really hard on this pilot and we did something I think is really special. ”
Yet, he is still fielding a lot of questions on whether or not This Is Us alums will be showing up as guest stars in future episodes. The good-natured Hartley answered, “That’d be fun!” He even made a joke relating to his former series.
Maybe we could find out [Colter’s] such a good tracker, maybe he finds Jack. Like [maybe] he never died, something like that?
What Justin certainly appreciates about his new character is that “I just love the idea of that the guy is so free.” But, he does admit that “I will always take pieces of Kevin Pearson with me everywhere I go.” He then continued, “It’s exhausting work diving into another character, because you do have to start over.”

Justin Hartley’s New CBS Series Premiering After Super Bowl
Justin Hartley is excited about Tracker, and it appears that CBS is as well. They are giving him the prime premiere spot. Tracker will premiere right after the Super Bowl LVIII game on Sunday, February 11, at 10 p.m., Eastern. After that, it will air on Sunday nights at 9 p.m., Eastern, on CBS.
CBS will air the Tracker premiere episode encore on Thursday, February 15, at 10 p.m., Eastern.
